Grade Scale
The Grade Scale does not follow the outdated traditional scale (100-90%=A; 89-80%=B; etc.). It is based on proficiency levels and all work will be evaluated on these levels (Advanced, Proficient, Basic, Below Basic). Please see the Standards Sheets for the criteria of these levels.
Because of the 4 levels, there is a possibility of a student earning a 4, 3, 2, 1 or 0 on each assignment. Therefore, the grade breakdown is below:

ALRIGHTY THEN... I apologize but I'm sticking with the previous grade book. It is Illuminate and the problem is that it is not supported by the district but it works well as a Standards Based Grade Book. This means you won't be able to see it outside of class but I will communicate DAILY about your grades and what you can do to improve.
In other words, ignore the grade scale on the left; we're using the one on the right!
