Not Neccessarily Current Event
 (N.N.C.E)
The purpose of the NNCE is to see the relevance of what we are studying and to be able to connect what we are doing in class with real life.

Find a topic from ANY reliable source (newspaper, TV, radio, magazine, book, etc.) and explain how it has to do with the particular aspect of Psychology that we are currently studying. See the "Topics" page to find out what constitutes Psychology and use your Standard Sheets (Rubrics) to find out what information you are required to know.  Follow the NNCE rubric criteria and each standard rubric to receive full credit. setstats
For example, Standard II is on Research Methods. Find an article or information on this topic (like a psychological experiment, or a case study on a specific behavior or longitudinal study done on an individual or group) and write a brief summary about it. Be sure to include all of the Level 2 Vocabulary (with pictures) and address the Level 3 Content Objective for each standard.
Please do not just cut/paste info from the internet. For Level 4 consideration, include an evaluation where you add your opinion and any suggestions, concerns or solutions. This is meant to give you a chance to see that this information is out there in real life, not just within the walls of the class or the pages of your text.
