Dream Journal
Keep a pad of paper
(and something with which to write!) next to your bed and immediately when
you wake up, write down your dreams. Don't go to the bathroom, don't get
a drink, don't wipe the drool from your mouth; write it down! As you begin
writing, it will help you remember the dream(s) better.
Write the date
and ALSO, write down any events going on in your life at the time and any
circumstances which you feel might be helpful in interpreting the dream.
(Even later in the day if you remember some of the details, write them
down so you can add them later.) As we begin "Altered States of Consciousness"
we will try to explain WHY dreams occur and see if we can assign some meaning
to them.
